The University of Queensland (UQ) could link university data centres with public cloud infrastructure under a Government-funded Research Data Storage Infrastructure (RDSI) project.

Lenovo has incorporated a range of new performance and security enhancements into its Windows 7-based ThinkPad and IdeaPad products.

The revamped notebooks and all-in-one desktops will be branded as "Enhanced Experience 3" (EE3) PCs -- a certification exclusive to Lenovo -- and will tout a third-generation portfolio of performance-boosting features that the company has added to its Windows-based devices over the past three years.

Intel will announce its first Core processors based on the Ivy Bridge microarchitecture next week, and the company says the first chips won't be for ultrabooks, but will be quad-core parts for high-end desktops and laptops.

An Adelaide High school decided to combat school vandalism and bullying which was occurring during and after school hours. ASI discussed the vandalism and bullying issues with the school and then performed a site survey.
