Physical Bullying
Fact: Majority of students are actually threatened by someone they have met.
Fact: Both females and males are bullied and very few students tell anyone that they are being bullied.
Within schools there are either current problem areas or potential areas of concern where physical bullying happens. Physical bullying “Hot Spots” occur where this is a lack of staff resourcing to patrol key areas including:
- Crowded corridors, stairwells and quiet areas
- Canteens
- Outside toilet blocks and locker areas
- Fence perimeters
- Sporting areas and halls
You can use continual digital IP camera surveillance in these areas without having to spend a huge budget on traditional camera surveillance.
- Consider digital camera monitoring for Interior and exterior “Hot Spots”
- Consider using Internet access for cameras across the network - with 24/7 network access - where Principals and Network Managers can just login from anywhere and keep an “eye” on everything
- Consider storing those digital images for possible review and reporting
