Microsoft Surface reveals new product line up

When we introduced the very first Surface device over 7 years ago we set out with an ambition to put people at the centre of technology, to drive innovation, unlock the next level of productivity and to build an experience that spans multiple senses. At Microsoft we believe that a device is an instrument, designed to enable people to transition into a flow state where they deliver their best work.

Today in New York, we announced our broadest and most exciting Surface line-up ever, with five new products coming this calendar year and two new dual-screen devices coming in 2020.

Surface created the 2-in-1 category and continues to redefine and reimagine how our products can allow customers to be their most productive and creative, achieving anything.

With more performance than ever before, enhanced designs on our most popular products including Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, Surface Pro X, these new devices will continue to set the bar in innovation and deliver incredible experiences for our customers.

In addition, we have partnered with silicon manufacturers to co-engineer chip-sets for each product. Each processor is optimised for Surface. For example, with the Surface Pro X, the new Microsoft SQ1 processor has been co-designed with Qualcomm and is the fastest Qualcomm processor ever created for a PC.

These enhancements include increased power, speed and sizing, now available in 13.5” and 15” displays, plus new colours and finishes. We also have new accessories including type covers, pens and mice that will enable users to customise how they work.

In addition, we were thrilled to also announce two dual-screen, smaller, more mobile Surface devices: Neo and Duo. We believe these devices will move our PC category forward unleashing further computing experiences for our customers and will be available in calendar year 2020.

Surface will now also provide businesses with improved serviceability, more sustainable commercial packaging and something we know our commercial customers have been asking for – removable SSD’s in Laptop 3 and Surface Pro X.

I hope you are as excited as I am about these new Surface devices and how they can empower your business to achieve more. I can’t wait for you to see how the products can light up your workplace.
