Australian-owned technology partner adds an Australian-owned specialist in board advice, sovereign security operations and compliance
Sydney, 6 November 2026: ASI Solutions (ASI), an Australian-owned technology partner, has acquired Insicon Cyber, an Australian-owned cyber security specialist with a localised sovereign security operations centre (SOC) in North Sydney. The acquisition will bring Insicon Cyber’s board advisory, managed security and compliance services to ASI’s education, government and commercial customers across Australia and New Zealand.

Few organisations can staff a security operations team of their own, and many already look to their technology partner to run the systems they cannot afford to lose. The cost of getting security wrong is rising. ASD’s Annual Cyber Threat Report 2025-26 shows the average self-reported cost of cybercrime for medium-sized Australian businesses rose 45% to $141,300 per report.
“Many organisations already trust a technology partner to keep their critical systems running, and security belongs in that relationship,” said Nathan Lowe, Managing Director, ASI Solutions.
“Insicon Cyber gives us an Australian-owned specialist team and a SOC to bring to the organisations we support. If you are not sure where your organisation stands on cyber risk today, that is the conversation to start with us.”

Insicon Cyber’s services span three areas:
- Board and executive advisory: cyber risk assessments, tabletop exercises, CISO as a service and AI governance advice
- 24/7 SOC and managed security: monitoring, detection and response from an Australian-owned, Australian-based SOC, including managed SIEM
- Compliance and certification: consulting and preparation for ISO 27001, ISO 9001 and ISO 42001, as well as ISO 14001 and 45001, alongside ASD, APRA and NZISM requirements
Founded in 2013, Insicon Cyber has advised Australian boards and executives for more than a decade. Its SOC is ISO 27001 certified, it is an Australian Signals Directorate Network Partner, and it was named Retail Cyber Security Partner of the Year at the 2025 Benchmark Security Awards. It supports organisations across Australia and New Zealand.
“Few Australian-owned security specialists bring board advice, a localised SOC and compliance together under one roof,” said Matt Miller, CEO, Insicon Cyber.

“Joining ASI keeps that capability in Australian hands and gives us the reach to help far more organisations across Australia and New Zealand, under the Insicon Cyber name we have built.”
Matt Miller, CEO, Insicon Cyber
Insicon Cyber will continue to operate under its own name as an ASI Solutions company, led by co-founders Matt Miller (CEO) and Greg Bunt (CISO). The acquisition follows ASI’s acquisition of JTC Technology earlier this year, its sixth, as ASI continues to support a widening customer base.
