Overview

Ecocene, formerly known as Astron Environmental Services, is an ecological consulting and nature technology company dedicated to advancing biodiversity management and ecosystem restoration. With a focus on innovation, data-driven insights, and field-tested practices, Ecocene delivers meaningful outcomes for the environment, businesses, and communities.

As part of a major rebrand and expansion of its digital capabilities, Ecocene began planning a series of significant infrastructure projects. A conversation with another ASI client led them to explore a new IT partnership. Given the scale of their transformation, they needed a managed IT services provider who could deliver both day-to-day operational support and strategic project leadership.

Challenge

Ecocene was preparing for a large-scale domain migration as part of its rebrand and wanted to ensure that its IT environment was well positioned to support future growth.

With multiple infrastructure projects in the pipeline and a newly appointed Head of Digital Transformation, the organisation sought a partner who could provide stability, strengthen security measures, and help guide their digital transformation journey.

Solution

The onboarding process was designed to be seamless and collaborative, with ASI maintaining open communication and a consistent onsite presence. This proactive approach ensured that Ecocene’s daily operations remained uninterrupted throughout the transition.

While an issue with a set of servers arose early on, ASI acted quickly to resolve the matter, ensuring minimal disruption.

The onboarding went smoothly with transparent communication and plenty of onsite presence, meaning we felt supported as an organisation in the move of provider. We did have an issue with a set of servers, however once the issue was raised, we were happy with how quickly that was resolved.
